And the new agreement has delighted Anglia Lead's Managing Director, Carl Edwards, who is looking forward to being involved again with the Cathedral, having carried out a previous phase of repair works to the Tower and Nave roofs last year.
"This order goes a long way to confirming Anglia Lead's commitment to our ecclesiastical buildings in East Anglia and the workmanship that has been developed by our skilled craftsmen over the years," he said.
"Carrying out leadwork on these fantastic buildings means you have to work to the highest of standards and have knowledge of the installation of lead sheet far beyond that of normal flashing projects - which some consider to be a big lead job.
"We will be installing more than 40 tons of code 7 lead sheet on the building, which will take our tonnage on Cathedrals alone to more than 100 tons in the last 12 months. That's something to be really proud of in these testing times. We are very committed to the project and we will be installing work that that will keep the parishioners dry for many, many years to come."
