After several years of intensive work, the enlargement of this historic Cathedral has finally been completed, with help from Anglia Lead's team of skilled local craftsmen.
Project Overview
Client: Morgan Ashurst (Formerly Bluestone)
Location: St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Materials: Sand cast Lead and Cast lead fascia and mouldings
Money from the Millennium Commission has enabled this historic Cathedral to reach final completion. The Gothic-style lantern tower was raised a further 100 feet to 150 feet and Anglia Lead was closely involved in the new cloisters, which were also added. Our craftsmen took a mould of the feature work from the originals and used it to create the decorative lead gutters which now adorn the building.
